The Academy at Piper’s Heath Full Day Junior Camps 2018

Camps begin in July and August during the selected weeks below. These camps are designed for introducing young beginner golfers, ages 6-12, to the game and learning the fundamentals.

Our acclaimed junior camps are action packed from the start! We have taken the latest research from child development experts and designed our golf camps to cover the areas that are essential for the enjoyment of golf and the development of golf related physical skills. Agility, Balance, Coordination and Fun! Through our fun and engaging activities kids will learn about the game of golf and the skills that are involved.

However it won’t be the boring standing on the range hitting balls like the adults do – kids will learn how to create power, control ball flight, learn swing angles with the help of baseball bats, tennis balls, soccer balls, hula hoops and of course: golf clubs.

Each camp will cover the best in instruction in a safe, professional and exciting learning environment hosted by our Canadian PGA certified staff. For safety and confidence building purposes, this program is 100% range instruction. This concept is designed to give kids the improved ball striking and lessons in etiquette before heading onto the course.

All camp students will be grouped initially by age and then further by golf ability and skill progression at the discretion of the Academy professionals during the week. Golf camp highlight topics include, but not limited to: full swing, putting, how to practice, stance, grip, balance, rules of golf, and chipping & pitching.

  1. Please bring your own golf clubs (putter & a driver/iron at minimum will suffice!)
  2. Wear comfortable clothing (t-shirt, shorts, running shoes) and dress for the weather
  3. Bring a small backpack with snacks and extra drinks
  4. Sunscreen!
  5. Pack any necessary medications
  6. Drop off between 8:45am and 9:00am in the south-end parking lot
  7. Pick up at 4:00pm in the south-end parking lot
  8. Please remind your instructor of any allergies or medical issues on the first day
  9. No make up dates or partial refunds. In the event of inclement weather we will move indoors as required.
  10. Recommended ages 6 – 12
